Sapphire/ Highlands/ Cashiers Sight-Seeing Excursion

Get ready for a summer of fun!

Tickets are on sale for the first of our Four Summer Concerts on the Slopes.  Tickets for all four concerts are available at the Sapphire Valley Resort Community Center (743-7663).  Advance tickets are $20.00 per person - or $25.00 on the day of the concert.  The outdoor concerts are held on the bottom of the Sapphire Valley Ski Area slope.

June 10, 2014 at 7:00pm - the series kicks off with the big band sounds of The Buddy-K Big Band.  Reel back the years and hear the best of Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Woodie Herman, Tommy Dorsey and more.  Take your partner by the hand and dance on the lawn under a moon-lit night.

Planning for 60th Anniversary

The Sapphire Valley Resort is celebrating it's 60th anniversary this year.  It was 1954 when Gene Howerdd, Sr. began development of a golf course and resort neighborhoods.  Today, the resort is one of the largest private communities in the Cashiers - Highlands areas.


We'll be announcing some special events for this summer to celebrate.  Keep an eye on this section of the website and we'll begin to post some event dates.


A 1950's theme will permeate our celebration, including some of the summer Concerts on The Slopes.  We'll be announcing that concert line-up very soon.


In the meantime, you can take advantage of the relative calm of spring to make sure that your amenities cards are up-to-date.  This can be done any day of the week at the Community Center.

A wonderful time was had by all

The 2013-14 Ski - Snowboarding - Tubing season has come to a close.  Mother Nature provided us a steady diet of cold temperatures and we were able to offer you fun in the snow - lots of snow.


We are in the process of cleaning and storing the equipment, providing maintenance to our snow-blowing equipment, and giving the snow groomer a once over before storing them all for the summer.


The 2014-15 Ski Season will begin in December of 2014.

Our tubing sessions last 1 HOUR & 45 MINUTES & we also require a WAIVER EQUIPMENT FORM to be filled out for each individual person that wants to go tubing. There is no age limit, but our rule is ONE person per tube. Small children are not allowed to sit on parent's laps.
